1958, Blue Note Records.

This is a very, very early mono pressing of the classic "Blue Train".  A true 1st mono pressing had "New York 23" in the address line on the A side label whereas this has, simply, "NYC".  Still 1958.  Make no mistake: this is a noisy record.  Lots of scratches and wear.  Has been ultrasonic and Nitty Gritty vacuum cleaned and play tested throughout.  A1 is particularly noisy.  Heavy crackle throughout the entire record.  Middle to back end of A side is not as bad, more palatable VG-, while other areas are very loud & noisy.  No skips.  Clean labels.  Cover is taped pretty much all the way around (tape on top seam only goes about 60% of the way across).  There is a name signed in ink in the top left corner of the back cover; presumably a former owner of this LP.  

Despite the lackluster condition of this LP, this is a very rare pressing.
